The story

Mossy Horn is another name used when referring to an old buck or a great looking deer. Typically a Mossy Horn is a hefty looking buck with nice drop tines to show for the age and potential for great game.

Mossy Horn Whiskey was formed by a couple of people from the trade. They got together to figure out what they were going to do in the next phase of their life. Garrett Molsbee had went from working at a small distillery at age 21 to working for a big time distributing company until the age of 30. He had gained a wealth of knowledge in the industry and felt as though he was not reaching his full potential where he was at in the distributing company. He knew it was time for a change. With guidance, he was able to get started on his own venture as a brand owner and entrepreneur.

Garrett took his entire 401K out to invest and start his new brand of whiskey and thanks to the help of a good friend they came up with the name we all know now as Mossy Horn. As of November 1 2021, Mossy Horn was official in the market and making way in some of the first stores that were willing to accept this new brand on their shelves.

Mossy Horn is a blend of two single barrel straight whiskey’s that have a minimum age of 5 years old and 3 years old. With beautiful sweet aromas on the nose mossy horn has great spice and butterscotch notes at first sip. Made perfectly from grain to glass. We hope everyone enjoys Mossy Horn as much as we do.
